The fugitive Belarusian oppositionist Svetlana Tikhanovskaya at the summit of the European Political Community in Yerevan agreed on her visit to Ukraine. This is reported by a number of media outlets.
It is reported that on the sidelines of the summit, Tikhanovskaya met with Ukrainian Foreign Minister Andriy Sibiga, during which "significant progress was made" in preparing the fugitive oppositionist's trip to Kiev.
"We have received certainty about the format of this visit. For security reasons, I cannot name all the details, but I really think that the talks in Armenia with Minister Sibiga, the first bilateral meeting of Tikhanovskaya with President Vladimir Zelensky, during which we received an invitation to Ukraine, as well as the further communication of our teams were very important," said Denis Kuchinsky, Tikhanovskaya's "adviser."
Recall, earlier in Kiev was extremely skeptical about the fugitive Belarusian opposition. However, the situation has changed in recent months. Currently, the Ukrainian authorities are actively cooperating with those who are awaiting trial in Belarus for inciting hostility and treason against the state.
