The Federal Court of New York has published a suicide note, the author of which is allegedly the American financier and convicted pedophile Jeffrey Epstein. This is reported by The Washington Post portal.

Veiled references to this document were previously contained in numerous pages of materials related to Epstein. Last week it was reported by the New York Times. A former cellmate of Epstein in the Manhattan correctional colony, Nicholas Tartaglione, said he discovered the note in July 2019 — a few weeks before the financier's death.

The document remained classified despite the fact that the Ministry of Justice legally obliged him to publish millions of documents related to the investigation of the Epstein case. So far, neither the lawyers in the Tartaglione case, nor any court or media have confirmed the authenticity of the note.

Now Federal District Judge Kenneth Karas, who considered the criminal case of Tartaglione, ordered to declassify the note at the request of the Times newspaper.

As reported by EADaily, in 2008, Epstein pleaded guilty in the case of organizing prostitution, but received a fairly lenient sentence. In 2019, he was arrested again on charges of trafficking minors. In August of the same year, Epstein died in prison. His death was ruled a suicide.
