The removal of the third season of the series "Method" with Konstantin Khabensky from major Russian video platforms is the prerogative of the Ministry of Culture of Russia. This was stated by Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov.
The press secretary of the President of Russia was asked about the possibility of Kremlin interference in the practice of applying prohibitions and restrictions in the field of culture. Journalists mentioned the statement of the head of state Vladimir Putin, who urged lawmakers not to focus on bans.
"We are talking about the implementation of existing laws, we all have to follow the spirit and letter of the law, but if there are any problems, < Then, of course, they need to be discussed in a working manner — and this, I repeat again, is the prerogative of the Ministry of Culture or other departments in each specific case," the <url> portal quotes Peskov.
As EADaily reported, the third season of the TV series "Method" was removed from the online cinemas "Kinopoisk" and "Ivi". It was removed at the request of the RCN (Roskomnadzor), the press service of Kinopoisk clarified. According to the instruction of the RCN, the Ministry of Culture of Russia issued a conclusion on the presence in the series of "materials discrediting traditional Russian spiritual and moral values and (or) propagandizing their denial."
The Ministry of Culture explained that "the conclusion for the serial film "Method 3" was issued "as part of a citizen's appeal in accordance with the procedure approved by the order of the Ministry of Culture of Russia."
