A Russian musician with audition records in the United States was accused of plagiarism

One of the most listened-to Russian musicians ØneHeart (Dmitry Volynkin) in the USA was accused of copyright infringement. This is reported by the Baza telegram channel.

Ostensibly, ØneHeart uses the work of unknown authors, which it appropriates for itself.

"According to the American musician My Head Is Empty, who specializes in niche electronic music and has released 87 albums, several years ago he was offered cooperation by ØneHeart," the publication says.

His tracks such as Snowfall, This Feeling, Every Night and Neverending are going viral on social networks, gaining millions of views.

"Now ØneHeart has almost three billion listens on Spotify. In 2024, a young Russian became the most listened-to domestic musician on the platform, overtaking composer Pyotr Tchaikovsky in the rating," the telegram channel clarifies.

My Head Is Empty and ØneHeart worked together on music until disagreements arose, which the American musician decided to tell publicly by posting in Network letter of accusations.

"He said that ØneHeart copies the covers of his tracks and even asked to understand the history of representatives of the general label dreamscape, but was refused. But the main accusation is that Volynkin allegedly uses the work and creativity of little—known musicians: he offers to create a common track, but takes all the laurels for himself,"the report also says.

The Snowfall track is given as an example. According to My Head Is Empty, the main work on the composition was done by the musician reidenshi, but ØneHeart positions himself as the author and often forgets to even mention a "colleague".

In response to the accusations, Volynkin sent My Head Is Empty a pre-trial claim, demanding to stop spreading false accusations.

As EADaily reported, in October 2024, ØneHeart with his album Midnight Journey got into the voting for participation in the nomination "for the best new age album" of the Grammy Award.

Then Volynkin pointed out that the album Midnight Journey was created together with musician Antent (Alexander Maslov) and St. Petersburg producer Dean Korso (Konstantin Korsakov).
