Raman Kapoor, the captain of one of the tankers, which is located in In the Strait of Hormuz since the beginning of hostilities, he told reporters that the traffic jam of ships there is only increasing. According to the sailor, the management of his company forbids passing the strait, fearing provocations.
"The routes, in my opinion, are controlled exclusively by Iran, this has been the case for the last 40 days. We do not keep in touch with the authorities of this country. We communicate only with our office. It is not safe to pass through the Strait of Hormuz directly. In addition, we have received clear instructions from the company's head office not to pass through the strait until the situation normalizes. Therefore, we are waiting for further instructions," Channel Five quoted Kapoor as saying.
The captain also reported attacks on ships that were trying to overcome a dangerous area. Now shipowners are forced to negotiate with representatives of both Iran and the United States in order to obtain security guarantees.
