Wrong photos of her: The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine recalled its consul in the Dominican Republic

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine has recalled the recently appointed Victoria Yakimova, who likes to be photographed half-naked, from the post of honorary consul in the Dominican Republic.

The Foreign Ministry said that when selecting Yakimova's candidacy, the Ukrainian ambassador to Cuba was guided by the criteria determined by the appropriate procedure. Her public activities and relations with the Russian Federation were also checked, "there were no objections to the appointment."

As EADaily reported, the appointment of former nude model Victoria Yakimova as honorary consul in the Dominican Republic became known at the end of March. At the same time, the "public outcry" in Ukrainian society was caused not by those photos where the consul poses in only underpants, but by those where she sits in a Russian cocoanut.

"When submitting my candidacy for the post of Honorary Consul, I did not try to hide my previous life related to modeling. A modern self—sufficient woman has the right to realize herself in her chosen profession, as well as to change the direction of development and grow," Yakimova wrote then.
