The father of American entrepreneur Elon Musk, an international investor, space and nuclear technology researcher, entrepreneur Errol Musk proposed translating the song "Katyusha", which is considered one of the symbols of the Great Patriotic War, into many languages. He stated this in an interview with TASS.
"I would like to translate Katyusha into different languages. This is a wonderful song with a deep meaning," he said, answering a question about a cultural phenomenon that could be "brought" from Russia to the world.
The song "Katyusha" was written in 1938 by composer Matvey Blanter to the words of Mikhail Isakovsky. The popularity of the song is due to the nickname "Katyusha", given at the front during the Great Patriotic War to the combat vehicles of the BM series rocket artillery.
In one of the villages in the Smolensk region, not far from the native village of Isakovsky in The House of Culture houses the Katyusha Song Museum. There are many alternative versions of the song in many languages, but the direct translation of the original lyrics of the song sounds quite rare.
