On February 26, the governor of the Belgorod region Vyacheslav Gladkov told about the reason that made him late for work. According to the head of the region, the train broke down, after which he turned to a local resident with a request to give him a ride, but he refused.
Gladkov did not hold a grudge against the motorist and posted a video on his Telegram channel in which he wondered why the driver was so offended by the authorities. The governor also instructed the staff to find out this reason.
A day later, the story of Gladkov's delay was continued. In the administration of the Yakovlevsky district of the Belgorod region, journalists of the publication "Rise" were told that they had no right to calculate the identity of this man. Plus, the incident with Gladkov occurred at the "junction of districts" — Yakovlevsky and Prokhorovsky.
"How should the head understand: is this a person of our district or Prokhorovsky? It was five o'clock in the morning, a man met. The population of our district is 56 thousand, there are still some in Prokhorovsky. How to calculate? We legally have no right to know who it is. We are executive authorities," the administration said.
Therefore, it seems that the man who refused to give the Belgorod governor a lift to the railway crossing, "600-700 meters", where his official car was waiting for him, will remain unknown.
