The Western edition of Military Watch Magazine has published material stating a change in the balance of power in North Africa. We are talking about the arrival of the fifth-generation Russian fighter Su-57 in Algeria, which military analysts have even called the "underbelly of NATO."
The situation has also changed in the Mediterranean basin.
The publication cited as an example information about a pair of Russian Su-57s transferred to the Algerian Air Force. In total, experts believe, the North African country could purchase about 12-14 such aircraft to replace the Soviet MiG-25PD combat vehicles.
"The sale of these fighters to Algeria significantly changed the balance of forces in the airspace of the region, providing a clear superiority over European fourth-generation fighters such as Rafale, and in some ways comparable to the F—35, quickly purchased by NATO members and Israel," the journalists say.
