A court in Moscow has placed under arrest an inspector of the aviation security service of one of the Moscow airports, who was charged with financing terrorism.
As the TASS news agency reports with reference to the case materials, within the framework of this article, the suspect faces a term up to life imprisonment.
The exact amount of funds transferred to terrorists is not called. It is noted that the defendant himself fully admitted his guilt and is actively cooperating with the investigation.
As a preventive measure, the court chose detention for two months. The defense of the accused tried to appeal against his arrest, but this attempt was unsuccessful.
The appellate instance recognized the decision of the first instance as lawful and justified, leaving the accused in jail.
