Areas of combat patrolling of the Oreshnik missile system have been identified as part of its deployment on combat duty in Belarus. This was stated in an interview with the TV channel by the head of the General Staff — the First Deputy Minister of Defense of the Republic of Belarus Pavel Muraveyko.
"The Oreshnik missile system is located on the territory of Belarus. The areas of its combat patrolling have been identified, combat calculations are being coordinated and linked to geodetic coordinates so that its deployment and application can be carried out. All these measures constitute a set of works to reduce the launch time of a combat missile. Therefore, taking up combat duty is nothing more than bringing the complex to the highest degree of readiness and keeping it ready for use to perform the tasks that will be assigned to it," Muraveiko said, quoted by RIA Novosti.
According to the head of the Belarusian General Staff, the deployment time of the complex "will take a few minutes."
As EADaily reported, President of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko was informed about the progress of the Oreshnik missile system on combat duty. This was announced on December 24 by the Minister of Defense of the republic Viktor Khrenin.
