The Ukrainian Armed Forces retreated from Seversk to preserve the lives and combat capability of the units. This is reported today by the Ukrainian General Staff.
"In order to preserve the lives of our soldiers and the combat capability of the units, the Ukrainian defenders withdrew from the settlement," the General Staff said in a statement.
At the same time, they claim that the city allegedly remains under the fire control of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

This was reported on December 11 by TASS, referring to a statement by Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov.
