The official representative of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia, Irina Volk, confirmed the commencement of proceedings against eight Roma women who "gave birth" and registered more than 600 non-existent children. According to the Volk Telegram channel, the total amount of payments from the state amounted to 237 million rubles.
Women did not deceive the state without help. The latter was rendered to them by a certain resident of Moscow, who applied to the MFC of the capital, as well as to the registry offices of Nizhny Novgorod and Samara, where he claimed to have witnessed a home birth. Then the registration of birth certificates took place, after which the false mothers appeared for social payments.
89 criminal cases were initiated against all participants of the fraudulent scheme. An investigation is underway to verify the actions of this criminal community.
