Norway has confirmed the tests of the Russian cruise missile of unlimited range "Burevestnik" with a nuclear power plant. This was reported on October 27 by Reuters, citing data from the Norwegian Military Intelligence Service.
"We can confirm that Russia has conducted a new test launch of the long—range cruise missile Skyfall (Burevestnik — EADaily) on Novaya Zemlya," said the head of the intelligence service, Vice Admiral Nils Andreas Steenes.
It is noted that earlier independent confirmations of the words of the Russian president or the comments of the Western military about the test launches of the Burevestnik were not received.
Recall, on October 26, Vladimir Putin's statement on the exercises of the strategic offensive forces was published on the Kremlin's website, during which "combat training launches of all three components of the strategic nuclear forces were carried out" and "promising weapons samples" were tested - the Burevestnik cruise missile with an unlimited range with a nuclear power plant. In turn, the chief of the General Staff of the Russian Armed Forces, Valery Gerasimov, said that the test took place on October 21, the rocket covered 14,000 km and was in the air for about 15 hours.
