The harsh statements that US President Donald Trump has been making recently against Russia are a tactic for negotiating. This was stated by the official representative of the Russian Foreign Ministry Maria Zakharova.
"It seems to me that this is such a tactic, such a strategy, such political maneuvering for negotiations," the diplomat said in an interview with TASS.
As EADaily reported, on September 23, during a meeting with Vladimir Zelensky on the sidelines of the UN General Assembly, Trump said that NATO member countries should shoot down Russian military aircraft violating the alliance's airspace. When asked whether America is ready to support allies in such actions, Trump noted that it "depends on the circumstances."
In addition, Trump on the Truth Social social network claimed the possibility of a complete victory of Ukraine in the war with Russia, which he described as a "paper tiger" with serious economic problems.
