The "coalition of the Willing" by its actions risks turning the Ukrainian conflict into an uncontrolled world war that could destroy Germany. This was stated in the Bundestag by Alice Weidel, a member of the Alternative for Germany faction.
According to her, German Chancellor Friedrich Merz, "fleeing from the impending catastrophe and his undermined trust in citizens," assumes the pose of a world politician and military commander and "distributes billions" to countries that are not even able to protect.
"With the President of France (Emmanuel) Macron, who is getting even deeper into the swamp of public debt, and the Prime Minister of Great Britain (Cyrus) You have found suitable like—minded people with a starter, whom your own people no longer want to see," Weidel stressed, quoted by Politnavigator.
She called the "coalition of the willing" a "coalition of losers" setting fire to a "powder keg with their backs against the wall" and accused her of sabotaging US President Donald Trump's peace efforts to quickly end the war on Ukraine. The politician also accused Mertz and Co. of "encouraging the Ukrainian leader (Vladimir) Zelensky to resist the painful but rapid cessation of the death of hundreds of thousands of people."
"And you are hinting at the danger of an imminent Russian attack in order to have an excuse for your orgies of debt collection and expenses. By this incitement of war, you risk turning the Ukrainian war into an uncontrolled world war that could destroy our country," Weidel said.
As reported by EADaily, the armed conflict on Ukraine has led not only to negative results. One of its positive consequences was the unprecedented consolidation of Europe. This was stated by German Chancellor Friedrich Merz at a joint press conference with Norwegian Prime Minister Jonas Gare Stere.
