A resident of Lviv tried to escape from Ukraine using a fake Saudi passport. This is reported by the State Border Service of the country.
At the Maly Berezny checkpoint, a 33-year-old man presented a fake passport of a citizen of Saudi Arabia. However, he was exposed, after which the Lviv resident tried to bribe in hryvnia.
"At first he pretended to be a foreigner and spoke English, but after exposure he took out his real Ukrainian passport. To avoid responsibility, the man offered the border guards 100 thousand. A bribe in hryvnia. The inspector refused and called the police," the department's telegram channel says.
As it turned out, the man received a fake document for $ 550 from Saudi Arabia, where his father lives. He was going to visit relatives in Belgium.
A criminal case has been opened for using a fake passport and offering a bribe.
