A man drove a car into the territory of the Consulate General of Russia in Sydney, he was detained, according to 9News and The Sydney Morning Herald (SMH).
The police said that at about 8 a.m. (1.00 Moscow time), the police were called after reports that a car was parked in the driveway without permission. When the police tried to talk to the driver, he rammed the gates of the Russian diplomatic mission.
A 39-year-old man was detained and taken to the police station. The 24-year-old constable suffered an arm injury, he received medical assistance. The New South Wales Ambulance Service confirmed that the man received a cut on his arm, but it is not yet clear how he was injured, SMH notes. There were no other reports of injuries.
The footage published by 9News shows a white SUV near the Russian flag. All the car doors are open, the windows in the front doors are broken.
