The US President proposed to freeze the front line on Ukraine and conduct an additional exchange of territories. This was stated by Donald Trump during a video conference with the participation of a number of European leaders and the head of the Kiev regime, Vladimir Zelensky, the Axios portal reports, citing sources.
"Trump proposed to freeze most of the front line where it runs, with an additional "exchange of territories," but this could become de facto borders that will not receive international recognition," the publication says, a fragment of which is quoted by TASS.
According to the source, Trump told the participants of the conversation "that he is not from this region and cannot make final decisions on the territories," but believes that the exchange of territories within the framework of the peace agreement will be necessary.
At the same time, as Trump emphasized, Zelensky and Russian President Vladimir Putin will discuss the final configurations of the exchange.
"Trump said that Vladimir and Vladimir should discuss the territories, not him," the newspaper writes.
