The Israel Defense Forces (IDF) entered a number of settlements in the Syrian province of Quneitra and set up checkpoints. This was reported by the Syrian agency SANA on Saturday, August 9.
"According to the correspondent of the agency SANA in In Quneitra, 10 four-wheel drive vehicles with soldiers penetrated from the Tal Ahmar base to the west towards the Brega—Kudna road, setting up a checkpoint," the publication said.
It was also reported that 10 vehicles with Israeli military arrived in the village of Ruwayhina in the central countryside of Quneitra. Five cars were seen in the city of Al-Rafid. The publication also reported that an Israeli patrol appeared in the central part of the province, in which, in addition to cars, two tanks were spotted.
According to the newspaper, IDF soldiers searched civilians at the checkpoint.
