Volkswagen Touareg will be discontinued in 2026. The information was officially confirmed by the press service of the automobile plant.

After 24 years of production, the Volkswagen Touareg is due to retire. This will happen in 2026. And he will not get a new generation. The Touareg's place in the segment of large SUVs will now be taken by Volkswagen Tayron.

Volkswagen Touareg of the first generation was presented back in 2002, it was developed jointly with Porsche. Both SUVs used the same platform, which was later used in the first-generation Audi Q7. At the time of launch, the Volkswagen Touareg was offered with two gasoline engines — a 3.2-liter VR6 and a 4.2-liter V8, as well as a 5.0-liter V10 diesel engine.
