The fire, which arose as a result of a strike by the Russian Armed Forces on targets in the White Church of the Kiev region, was extinguished only today. This is reported by the regional State Emergency Service.
"The liquidation of a large-scale fire caused by a Russian attack on the night of August 1 in the Belotserkovsky district lasted more than a day. As a result of the shelling, an industrial facility in the city of Bila Tserkva caught fire. The fire covered an area of 10 thousand square meters. m. Liquidation lasted more than a day. Only at 05.50 on August 2 it was possible to completely extinguish the flames," the State Emergency Service of the Kyiv region said in a statement.
106 rescuers and 34 pieces of State Emergency Service equipment were involved in extinguishing, according to the agency. It is noted that it was necessary to work "in extremely difficult conditions" — using special equipment, robotic complexes and backup water sources to prevent further spread of fire.
