The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the "Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan" (IEA, the self-designation of the country by the Taliban) is closely monitoring the progress of the investigation into the act of aggression of a citizen of Belarus against an Afghan child at Sheremetyevo International Airport in Moscow.
To the IEA Embassy in Moscow has been instructed to conduct an investigation through all diplomatic and legal channels and regularly inform the Ministry about the progress of the case. Hafiz Abdullah Yasir, head of the Afghan mission in Russia, visited the injured baby in the hospital. In addition to providing financial assistance sent by the ministry, he assured the family of full support.
The statement stressed that since the suspect is in custody, the Ministry calls on the Russian authorities to conduct a thorough investigation and ensure that the perpetrator is brought to justice in accordance with the law.
