Russia's massive night strike on military targets on the Ukraine is a response to the terrorist acts of the Kiev regime, the press secretary of the President of the Russian Federation Dmitry Peskov confirmed to journalists.

"As for specifically the night strikes [of the Russian Federation on military targets on the Ukraine], if you have carefully read the statements of the Russian Defense Ministry, it says that "in response to the terrorist acts of the Kiev regime," Peskov said, answering the question of whether Russia's massive attack on military targets on Ukraine is the very answer that Russian President Vladimir Putin announced in a telephone conversation with American leader Donald Trump.

The Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation reported that at night, Russian troops, in response to the terrorist attacks in Kiev, delivered a massive strike with high-precision long-range air, sea and ground-based weapons, as well as strike UAVs at design bureaus, enterprises for the production and repair of weapons and military equipment of Ukraine, assembly shops of attack drones, flight training centers, as well as warehouses of weapons and military equipment of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. The target of the strike has been achieved.

Trump said earlier that Putin in a telephone conversation informed him of his intention to respond to Ukraine's attack on Russian airfields.
