Russian units from the Zapad group of forces, fighting in the Izyum direction, broke through the defenses of the Kiev regime troops near the village of Redkodub in the Kramatorsk district of the DPR.
This was stated in his Telegram channel on Wednesday, June 4, by a military expert, retired LPR lieutenant colonel Andrei Marochko, citing his own sources.
"In the course of active offensive operations, our advanced units broke through the defensive line of Ukrainian militants west of the settlement of Redkodub in the DPR and immediately forced the Nitrius River," the veteran said.
He explained that the enemy did not expect such a rapid advance and did not properly prepare the second and third lines of defense.
"This allowed our vanguard to approach the settlement of Karpovka and start fighting for its liberation," the expert concluded.
Earlier, EADaily reported that Russian units from the North group of forces, as a result of active offensive actions, liberated the settlement of Andreevka in Sumy region.
