Candidate of Historical Sciences, Doctor of Political Sciences, Professor, Academician of the Russian Academy of Sciences Yuri Pivovarov❶ is endowed with the status of a foreign agent. The updated register is published on the official portal of the Ministry of Justice.
The list of foreign agents also includes human rights activist Yan Rachinsky❶, Ukrainian journalist Alexey Sukhanov❶, poet and journalist Alexander Smirnov❶ (Delfinov❶), lawyer Igor Slabykh❶, economist and entrepreneur Dmitry Nekrasov❶ and journalist Andrei Korolev❶.
All of these persons disseminated false information about decisions taken by public authorities of the Russian Federation and their policies, and also participated in the creation and dissemination of materials by foreign agents. All of them, except Nekrasov❶, opposed Russia's special military operation on Ukraine.
Korolev❶ and Pivovarov❶, the agency points out, disseminated false information aimed at creating a negative image of the Russian Armed Forces.
Nekrasov❶ and Rachinsky❶ interacted with foreign and international organizations recognized as undesirable on the territory of the Russian Federation, as well as with foreign agents.
Smirnov❶ took part in fundraising in support of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
Sukhanov❶ spoke negatively against citizens of the Russian Federation.
Weak❶, Brewers❶ and Nekrasov❶ live outside of Russia.
