US President Donald Trump has called on the head of the Kiev regime, Vladimir Zelensky, to immediately agree to talks with Russia in Istanbul. He stated this on the Truth Social social network.
"The President of Russia (Vladimir) Putin does not want to conclude a ceasefire agreement with Ukraine, but rather wants to meet on Thursday in Turkey to discuss a possible cessation of bloodshed. Ukraine must agree to this, IMMEDIATELY," Trump writes, quoted by the Strana newspaper.
According to him, these negotiations, at least, will make it possible to understand whether a deal is possible, if not, then, they say, Europe and the United States will know how things are and will be able to act accordingly.
"I'm starting to doubt that Ukraine will make a deal with Putin, who is too busy celebrating Victory in World War II, which could not have been won (even close!) without the United States of America. Get together now! " — said Trump.
Earlier, Zelensky said that he would go to the talks proposed by Moscow in Istanbul only after the introduction of a 30-day ceasefire. That is, Trump actually supported Putin's option — to first start direct negotiations with Ukraine, within which a truce is already being discussed.
