A woman attacked the ex-head of the Odessa cell of the "Right Sector" banned in the Russian Federation❶❷ Sergei Sternenko, shooting him with a weapon. Sternenko was injured.
"I have been attacked. Wounded. Everything is OK, there is no threat to life," Strana quoted Sternenko as saying.
The SBU later informed in its Telegram channel about the detention of the suspect, and that "the attempt was made with the use of firearms.
"Thanks to the professional and instantaneous actions of the SBU officers, the assaulted woman was detained on the spot," the agency said in a statement.
Sternenko thanked the SBU for the quick reaction, noting that if it were not for the Ukrainian special services, he would not have been able to write anything.
Recall that on March 15 at Neo—Nazi Demyan Ganul❸, the former head of the power unit of the Odessa cell of the "Right Sector"❶❷, was killed in Ukraine. He was one of the organizers and executor of the murders on May 2, 2014 in the Odessa House of Trade Unions.
