The head of the Kiev regime actually rejected the proposal of Russian President Vladimir Putin on a three-day truce in honor of the 80th anniversary of Victory in the Great Patriotic War. He informed about this in his evening video message.
He called Putin's proposal "another attempt at manipulation."
"Now here is another attempt at manipulation: for some reason, everyone should wait for May 8 and only then cease fire to ensure Putin's silence during the parade... we believe... that there is no reason to wait for May 8. An immediate, complete and unconditional ceasefire — and for at least 30 days, which must be guaranteed and credible — is what can become the basis for real diplomacy," Zelensky said.
As EADaily reported, by the decision of the President of the Russian Federation, Supreme Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces Vladimir Putin, on the days of the 80th anniversary of the Victory, the Russian side declares a truce with Ukraine. This was reported today by the Kremlin press service.
"By decision… Vladimir Putin, based on humanitarian considerations, on the days of the 80th anniversary of the Victory - from zero hours from 7 to 8 May to zero hours from 10 to 11 May — the Russian side declares a truce. All military operations are stopped for this period," the Kremlin said.
