The Kiwala tanker detained in Estonia on April 11, bound for the Russian port of Ust-Luga, has eliminated the identified deficiencies and can leave the country. This was stated by the director of the maritime Service of the Department of Transport, Kristian Truu, according to ERR.
The last procedures are being completed, after which the tanker will be able to leave the port of Muuga, Truu said.
As reported by EADaily, the Kiwala tanker detained in the Gulf of Finland, classified as a Russian "shadow fleet", will not be allowed to move on until the problems identified in it are resolved. This was stated by the Estonian authorities, the BBC reported.
Through the efforts of Estonian officials, Kiwala has 40 problems — 23 of them relate to documentation, and the rest to technical condition and seaworthiness, said Kristjan Truu, head of the Maritime Department of the Estonian Department of Transport.
