The song Homay by the Bashkir group Ay Yola took the first place of the streaming service Apple Music on Ukraine. This is reported by the telegram channel "Politics of the country".
Moreover, in general, the top 10 most popular songs of the service in the country were exclusively songs by Ukrainian artists.
Thus, the song of the Bashkir group repeats the fate of the composition "Pyala" in the Tatar language of the Russian electronic hip-hop duo "Aigel", which first hit the top of Shazam, and then also became the most popular on the Ukrainian Apple Music.
As EADaily reported, Homay previously ranked fifth in the global top 200 of the Shazam song recognition service. The track of the Bashkir trio surpassed, for example, Lady Gaga's hit Abracadabra in the rating. The song was released on March 14 of this year and is rapidly gaining popularity in the world charts.
According to the producer of the group and the father of the soloist Ruslan Severa, the text of Homay is based on the epic in the Bashkir language "Ural-Batyr", also the part of the national musical instrument kurai, elements of throat singing with electric sound are used in the composition.
