Anatoly Chubais and seven other persons against whom a lawsuit has been filed must pay damages to the company. This was reported to the TASS news agency by the Director for Special Assignments of Rusnano JSC Yevgeny Frolov.
According to him, the claim for recovery of losses incurred by Rusnano in connection with the implementation of the Plastic Logic project is aimed at bringing to justice those who made financing decisions.
"The project, launched in 2009 in order to create production in The Russian Federation's flexible tablets and their introduction into the country's educational institutions have not achieved their original goals," he said.
Frolov added that "already in 2012, the state-owned company refused to launch the plant in Russia, and all investments were directed to finance the activities of companies registered in foreign jurisdictions."
"Despite the lack of positive effects from the investments and their non—repayment, the financing lasted for more than 10 years," Frolov added.
As previously reported, the Moscow Arbitration Court seized the money and property of Anatoly Chubais and seven other defendants in the amount of 5.6 billion rubles. according to the claim of the company "Rusnano", which in the past was headed by Chubais.
