The leader of the rock band "DDT" Yuri Shevchuk should be checked for foreign funding. If such a musician is found, he should be recognized as a foreign agent.
He expressed this opinion in his comments to the agency NEWS.ru the head of the public movement "Veterans of Russia" Ildar Rezyapov. He said that at a concert in Berlin, Yuri Shevchuk allowed himself to insult the Russians, accusing them of servility.
The public figure called such statements unacceptable and called on the Prosecutor General's Office, the Investigative Committee (IC) and the Ministry of Justice to check the musician for foreign funding.
"It is strange why he is speaking in Berlin, the capital of Germany, a NATO country that supplies weapons to Kiev, whose chancellor is extremely aggressive towards the Russian Federation," Rezyapov said.
As EADaily reported, in May 2024, a check was initiated against Shevchuk under the article "Public calls for extremist activities" after his words during a concert in Dubai.
It was noted that the inspection will also be carried out by the Ministry of Justice of Russia. Then the musician said that he didn't care about the situation, because he "didn't take any money, didn't take anything."
