The speaker of the Georgian Parliament Shalva Papuashvili called the name of the American politician who called on Tbilisi to open a second front against Russia. This is a member of the Democratic Party, Evelyn Farkas.
According to Papuashvili, Tbilisi was called upon against the background of the conflict to Ukraine "should not miss the moment" and actively join the anti-Russian sanctions.
At closed meetings, Western politicians and diplomats took a more open anti-Russian position, the speaker of the parliament added.
He also recalled that it was Evelyn Farkas who was "the first and central figure who in 2016 linked Donald Trump's victory in the presidential election with Russian interference and launched an entire campaign on this topic, which later, after investigations, turned out to be fake."
