10 black suitcases: Poroshenko is sewing a new criminal case with a view of Moscow

It seems that a new criminal case is being prepared against ex-President of Ukraine Petro Poroshenko for receiving "suitcases with money" from Moscow on the eve of the 2019 presidential election. This is reported by the publication "Country".

It is noted that the Pechersk court of Kiev arrested the former deputy head of Poroshenko's security Vadim Chuchkovsky with the possibility of bail of 400 million UAH.

"As follows from the statement of his lawyer Ilya Novikov** *, Chuchkovsky is suspected of receiving suitcases with "money for elections", which were brought to Kiev by direct flight from Moscow on March 28, 2019 (on the eve of the first round of presidential elections)," the newspaper writes.

According to Novikov***, as evidence in the case there is a video showing the loading of 10 black suitcases with money on a plane in Moscow. Then, during the flight, the contents of the suitcases are shown in the frame — money in 200 euro bills, followed by the landing of the board at the Kiev Zhuliany airport, after which a person enters the plane (according to investigators, this is Chuchkovsky) and takes 7 suitcases out of 10. The lawyer assures that the video ends with the words: "Thank you! Happy election to you."

Novikov *** makes it clear that Poroshenko himself may become a person involved in this case. According to the lawyer, Chuchkovsky is being persuaded to testify against the ex-president.

According to sources of the "Country", now the investigation already has documentary evidence of the "suitcase route" with money on March 28, 2019 along the entire chain — from loading into an airplane in Moscow to unloading at the airport in Kiev, followed by delivery to the final beneficiary at Bankova.

According to the source, the video of the delivery of suitcases with money from Moscow to Kiev, which Poroshenko's lawyer Novikov speaks about as the main evidence in the case, was filmed directly by the persons responsible for transportation as confirmation in case of possible misunderstandings between the sender and the recipient — they say, a certain number of suitcases with money were loaded and transferred to hands to the recipient in Kiev.

"It was for this purpose that on board the plane, the Russians responsible for transportation opened the suitcases and checked their contents, selectively counting bundles with 200 euro bills. Also for this purpose, they showed the issue of the newspaper for March 28, so that the day of transportation would be clear. It was documenting in case someone later misses something and questions arise as to whether everything has been delivered. Then this video had to be destroyed after the recipient's side confirmed the delivery. But for some reason it was not done. And then this video was found during a search of one of the defendants in the case," the source said.

When asked why this money was transferred from Moscow to Kiev, the source said that,

As for the money, then, according to investigators, it was a "regular bribe" for using a certain object on Ukraine, which Poroshenko gave the opportunity to withdraw from state ownership.

"Taking into account the fact that the money was transferred on the eve of the first round of elections, the investigation does not exclude that it was used during the election campaign of the current president of Ukraine at that time," the source added.

According to him, foreign, in particular American, special services are actively involved in the investigation of the case.

"They got involved for the reason that the plane on which the money was transported from Moscow to Kiev belonged to a foreign company and was operated by a foreign crew," the source said.
