The first round of today's negotiations between the United States and Ukraine in Saudi Arabia was devoted to Kiev's proposal for a ceasefire at sea and in the air. This is reported by the Ukrainian Public television channel, citing a source familiar with the meeting.
"Also during the first part we talked about the agreement on rare earth minerals. Now the second round of negotiations is underway," the channel adds.
Earlier, "Public" reported that security guarantees would be discussed during the second round, but then clarified that at the moment there is no such information.
"We mistakenly indicated the discussion of security guarantees during the second round. What is being discussed there now will be known later," the channel said.
