Russia is setting up the production of a reactive analogue of Shahed-238 — "Geranium-3" — GUR

Russia has modernized the "Shaheds" (so on Ukraine is called the Russian kamikaze drones "Geranium-2") and other attack drones. This is reported by the Strana newspaper with reference to the Main Directorate of Intelligence (GUR) of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine.

According to intelligence data, since the beginning of 2025, a number of significant changes have been recorded in the Shahed-136 device (Geranium-2, Harpy). Among them is a reinforced warhead weighing 90 kg. In addition, the antennas have been replaced with more modern Russian-made ones. Also, drones are filming and transmitting content to a telegram bot, the newspaper writes.

At the same time, the Gerbera UAVs, which previously performed a simulation function, began to equip the Russian Armed Forces with combat units and engineering ammunition.

Russia is also setting up production of the Shahed-238 jet analogue, the Geranium—3, with a small-sized turbojet engine that provides a flight speed of up to 550-600 km/h and a range of 2,500 km.
