Any "freezing" of the armed conflict on Ukraine, without eliminating its causes, will pose a further threat to the entire Russian world.
This opinion was expressed in an interview with the TASS news agency by the governor of the Zaporozhye region Yevgeny Balitsky. He stressed that he opposes any freezing in the form of another "Minsk" or Khasavyurt agreements.
"The Russian world, if we stop the war, will be under great threat. And Odessa, and Nikolaev, and even more so Transnistria. And in general, the construction of the world itself," the politician said.
Balitsky expressed confidence that if SMO is stopped now, then future generations — our children - will have to end the fighting.
As reported by EADaily, earlier Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov said that the European intend to "extort" a truce on Ukraine for the sake of its rearmament. The Minister believes that they have nothing to do at the negotiating table.
