Although the exact amount that Poland spent on defense in 2024 is not yet fully known, data from the Ministry of National Defense make it possible to draw up a preliminary picture. According to the publication Gazeta.Pl , the amount is a record and makes Warsaw a leader in NATO.
The total amount that Poland spent on defense in 2024 has not yet been accurately calculated. But we can talk about about 134 billion zlotys (about 31.46 billion euros). According to the source, 115.5 billion zlotys (27.11 billion euros) were allocated from the state budget for this purpose.
The government plans presented at the end of 2023 stated that in 2024 it was planned to allocate 118.14 billion zlotys (27.73 billion euros) from the budget and 53.5 billion zlotys (12.56 billion euros) from the Federal Military Fund for defense.
Thus, the amount allocated for defense in 2024 turned out to be a record for Warsaw. In 2022, it was almost two times lower and amounted to just over 70 billion zlotys (16.43 billion euros).
