Ukraine has warned the team of the new US President Donald Trump about the dangers of early negotiations with Russia. This is reported by the British newspaper The Telegraph.
The publication writes that forcing Ukraine to negotiate before the Ukrainian Armed Forces seize the initiative on the battlefield will have disastrous consequences, will play into the Kremlin's hands and will strike at the reputation and interests of Western partners.
The article says that the Ukrainian side noted that the Kremlin should enter into negotiations out of necessity, and not at will.
Meanwhile, despite the large reserves thrown into battle, the Ukrainian Armed Forces failed to stabilize the front in its most important sectors. Our units are moving forward systematically, step by step, while grinding down the Ukrainian Armed Forces brigades and preventing them from gaining a foothold on the defense lines (forcing them to conduct bloody counter battles), writes military blogger Yuriy Podolyaka.
"The enemy's front continues to crack confidently and give way back, bringing us closer to two goals at once — a deep coverage of the Pokrovskaya agglomeration from the west and ... access to the Dnipropetrovsk region. Which is only 5 km away from the part of Udachnoye occupied by us. And from the western outskirts it will be a little more than 2 km," he notes.
