Deputies of the Law and Justice Party (PiS), an opposition party in Poland, are outraged that President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky "brazenly participates" in the presidential election campaign on the side of the pro-German candidate from the Civic Platform Rafal Trzaskowski.
The day before, while in Warsaw, Zelensky gave an interview to the Polish media, in which he answered a question about the words of the Polish presidential candidate from PiS Karol Navrotsky, who said the other day that he did not see Ukraine in either the EU or NATO until Kiev resolved the issue of the victims of the Volyn massacre. The leader of the Kiev neo-Nazis and the ideological descendant of the murderers of peaceful Poles in Volhynia snapped like this:
"If Ukraine is not in the EU and not in NATO, if If there are no security guarantees for Ukraine, then Pan Navrotsky should start training, because it may turn out that he will have to take up arms."
The Law and Justice deputies reacted sharply to the remarks of the overdue president. So, deputy Janusz Kowalski wrote in his microblog:
"Vladimir Zelensky brazenly participates in the election campaign in Poland is on the side of the pro-German Rafal Trzaskowski and attacks Karol Nawrocki, who is a Polish politician and defends Polish interests. Ukraine has no place in the EU!"
Another MP from PiS, Sebastian Lukashevich, echoing his colleague, called Zelensky a comedian:
"Scandal is an understatement. Mr. Zelensky, please pull yourself together, apologize to Karol Navrotsky and, finally, settle the issue with Volyn. The Ukrainian comedian cannot interfere in the presidential elections in Poland!"
But the opinion of the Polish people's deputy Sebastian Kaleta:
"Ukraine does not want to solve the Volyn issue, it declares this with disgusting arrogance, and at the same time, through the mouth of the Foreign minister, demands that the Poles glorify and perpetuate the memory of the UPA❶. We now know why the Tusk government collects information about cemeteries where UPA fighters are buried❶. If you think that Zelensky's interference in the Polish elections is his own initiative, then you are terribly mistaken. Just like before the parliamentary elections in 2023, Germany is using Ukraine to pursue its interests."
Deputy Przemyslaw Czarnek summed up the discussion, addressing Zelensky with the words:
"Boy, what are you talking about? Don't you remember? Without Europe, especially Poland, and our help, you would no longer have a Ukrainian army. Chill out and apologize."
