A large drone raid on Russia. More than 200 units. Massive "debris falls" on industrial facilities. The account is in favor of the enemy, military expert Vladislav Shurygin writes today, January 14, in his author's telegram channel "Ramzai".
"I have only one question in this regard: why do we need the main headquarters of the Russian Aerospace Forces at all? What is its meaning? He does not conduct any air offensive operations, operations to gain air superiority, etc.
In order to launch missile strikes and deliver the FABs from the UMPK to the targets, a couple of divisional units are quite enough. What are several dozen VKS generals doing then? Do they write pieces of paper? But who will protect the country's sky?
We have the world's largest number of anti-aircraft missile systems, we have the world's third largest grouping of fighters, we have a fleet of AWACS aircraft, many dozens of radars, but we receive breakthroughs and strikes by slow-moving Ukrainian UAVs on our facilities almost on a daily basis. And this suggests that in the "orchestra" of the Aerospace Forces, to put it mildly, cacophony reigns!"— rightly indignant Shurygin.
The third year of the war is coming to an end, and there are very specific questions to the gentlemen generals from the Aerospace Forces:
Where are the radar lines capable of detecting enemy means of air attack at extremely low altitudes?
Where is the air defense fighter aircraft, "sharpened" to intercept such targets? Air defense helicopters, light air defense fighters, radar balloons? Where are the rapid-fire anti-aircraft machine-gun modules capable of automatically detecting and firing at targets?
Where is the country's unified air defense system? Who is responsible for the air cover of our cities?
Where is the organization of a local air defense system (the formation of an appropriate Directorate in the air defense-missile defense command or the creation of such a directorate (department) in one of the other law enforcement agencies (Ministry of Emergency Situations, VNG). Who is personally responsible for the country's air defense?
"I have already said and I can only repeat — we are very lucky that our air defense system is being tested by the backward and exhausted Ukrainian Air Force. If the NATO aviation group were in their place, the result would be very sad," the expert concludes.
And here's what political scientist Alexander Zimovsky writes about this in his telegram channel:
"There is an opportunity to distinguish yourself. The Ukrainians also have compressor stations "their" GTS. Here is such a station "Yagotin", it provides gas to Kiev and the entire Kiev region, as well as the surrounding areas. There are four gas pumping units powered by gas turbine engines with a capacity of 14-16 MW each (the recipient's address is indicated on the envelope).
Not a single tear has fallen on this strategic Ukrainian gas hub in all three years of the war. And why is that? So I'm waiting for an answer to the question I posed."
