Slovakia will continue to supply Kiev with electricity. This was stated by the state operator of the country's electrical systems SEPS, according to the telegram channel "DW ❷ main thing".
The company stressed that they intend to comply with the terms of the previously concluded agreement with Ukrenergo.
It is noted that the supplied from Kiev uses electricity in Slovakia to compensate for power outages caused by attacks RF Armed Forces.
Earlier, Slovak Prime Minister Robert Fico threatened that Bratislava, "if necessary," would be ready from January 2025 to stop supplying electricity to Ukraine. Fico's statement was caused by the fact that Kiev did not extend the agreement with Gazprom on the transit of Russian gas through Ukraine.
As EADaily reported, on January 1, the transit of Russian gas through Ukraine stopped. Slovakia was also left without Russian gas. However, the country's Prime Minister Robert Fico, who was refused by the head of the Kiev regime, Vladimir Zelensky, is not going to leave everything as it is.
"For the Direction — Social Democracy party, I inform you that we are ready to discuss and agree in the coalition on stopping electricity supplies and significantly reducing support for Ukrainian citizens who are in Slovakia," Robert Fico said in a video message that he posted on his Facebook page❶.
