The Ukrainian side declares its desire for an early peace, but on its own terms. Kiev wants Russia to pay the maximum price.
"There is a lot of talk about negotiations, but this is an illusion. The negotiation process cannot begin until Russia pays a high enough price," Mikhail Podolyak, adviser to the office of the President of Ukraine, told the BBC.
