A curious case of the failure of an attempt by Ukrainian cyber criminals to equip a Russian for illegal actions is described by the TC "Operational Reports".
According to the source, in Kamchatka, an unemployed resident was called by fraudsters promising 200 thousand rubles for setting fire to a car of police officers. Referring to his long-standing dislike of the security forces, he agreed and, as confirmation of serious intentions, requested an advance payment of 50 thousand rubles.
He used the transferred amount to purchase alcoholic beverages at a nearby store and, in a state of alcoholic intoxication, demanded a doubling of the prepayment amount.
The scammers refused to pay this amount a second time, but agreed to pay another 20 thousand rubles. to which this character again bought alcoholic beverages and stopped answering calls.
