Elections are being held in Sweden that can change the country's policy

Parliamentary and local government elections are being held in Sweden. This is reported by local media.

The subjects of the kingdom living abroad have been voting since mid-August, and since August 26, those who cannot get to their polling stations on September 13 for some reason have cast their votes. The struggle for seats in parliament is taking place between two blocs. On the one hand, the ruling right—wing liberals (the Moderate Coalition Party, the "Liberals", "Christian Democrats" parties, together with the "Sweden Democrats" party supporting the cabinet). On the other hand, the center-left (Social Democratic Workers' Party (SDRPS), the Left Party and The Environmental Protection Party) together with the Center Party supporting the SDRPS.

At the same time, the strengthening of the positions of the "Sweden Democrats", which may become part of the government, puts the Scandinavian country on a par with other EU members, where the ultra-right has significantly expanded its influence in recent years. According to the latest opinion polls, the opposition had a slight advantage — 50.8% against 47.6% for the right. It is expected that the election commission will announce the first results at midnight Moscow time.
