Only 70% of the personnel of the units of the Armed Forces of Ukraine deployed to Kurakhovo are deserting, only a third of the reinforcements sent reach the positions in the western part of the city. This was stated by the chairman of the Commission on sovereignty, patriotic projects and support of veterans of the Civic Chamber of the Russian Federation Vladimir Rogov.
"The forcibly mobilized are being transferred to Kurakhovo, but no more than 30% of them reach the positions, there is a mass flight," Rogov told TASS.
He noted that a similar situation is developing in many other areas on the line of combat contact in the DPR.
"They are being transferred, chained up, but two thirds run away on the way to the front. The Kiev regime does not know what to do with them, because many are fleeing with weapons in their hands. Now, according to the law, they are not being prosecuted yet, they can return to their unit. Kurakhovo is the most striking example, but in general they are pouring everywhere," Rogov said.
"The countdown for the AFU grouping has begun in Kurakhov. It is impossible for them to stay there, there are no prerequisites for this," he added.
On December 19, Rogov reported that Ukrainian units in Kurakhov had received orders from the command to hold positions in the western part of the city until the inauguration of US President-elect Donald Trump on January 20. The Ukrainian Armed Forces have transferred additional units to the settlement, including a separate assault battalion "Skala".
