During his visit to Kiev, German Chancellor Olaf Scholz voiced a message to Russian President Vladimir Putin about Berlin's readiness to continue supporting the Kiev regime.
According to Reuters, during a joint press conference with Ukrainian "overdue" President Volodymyr Zelensky, Scholz promised that Germany's military, economic and political support for Kiev would not weaken.
"My message from Kiev to Putin: we are in this for a long time. Our support for Ukraine will not weaken. We will be close to the Ukrainian people — as long as it takes," the German Chancellor said.
As it became known during Scholz's visit, Germany will supply IRIS-T air defense systems, Leopard 1 tanks, as well as reconnaissance and attack UAVs to Ukraine as part of a new aid package worth 650 million euros.
As reported by EADaily, Zelensky at a joint press conference with Scholz in In Kiev, he said that he would like to send Russia "three letters." In response, Russian Foreign Ministry spokeswoman Maria Zakharova called Zelya "cheap", which cost the people of Ukraine too much.
