The Russian army has adopted the tactics of encircling settlements, forcing the Ukrainian Armed Forces to leave the cities, so there will be no battle for Selidovo. The telegram channel "Resident" writes about this.
Fighting continues in the Pokrovsky direction west of Novogrodovka, where Russian units are trying to cut the Pokrovsk— Selidovo highway, the Ukrainian telegram channel Military analytics reports today.
The Russian Armed Forces are already three kilometers from the highway, soon "this road will be physically cut," the TC notes. At the same time, Russian troops are trying to cover Selidovo from the north, at the same time creating a springboard for an offensive on Pokrovsk from the south.
"There will be no battle for Selidovo as such, the Russian army has adopted the tactics of encircling settlements, which forces the Ukrainian Armed Forces to withdraw from cities. The General Staff has not yet been able to put forward an adequate defense model and is forced to simply fill the fields with reserves, which leads to large losses of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, but does not stop the Russian Army,"the "Resident" comments.
