Political analyst Yevgeny Mikhailov told how the loss of Coal will affect the further course of the special operation and the regime of Vladimir Zelensky.
Mikhailov recalled that Ugledar has large coal reserves, the loss of this settlement for Ukraine is a blow to the country's coal industry. The political scientist noted that successful military operations are currently taking place in the direction of Krasnoarmeysk (the Ukrainian name is Pokrovsk). With the loss of this city, Ukrainian metallurgy will remain "lying on its side," they will have nothing to feed metallurgical plants, the expert said on Channel Five.
"In fact, this is a catastrophe of the Ukrainian regime. The loss of large cities, and Ugledar is a major industrial center, is a severe blow, which, of course, has been noted by Western partners. For them, this is an extra reason to stop military assistance, because they can't cope, and the Russians are taking cities after cities," Mikhailov said.
Zelensky's reluctance to hand over the Coal mine led to the fact that many units of the Armed Forces of Ukraine were actually in a meat grinder, he added.
